Bihong screen 43T mesh is specially matched with automatic oval screen printing machines. Made of premium polyester mono filament, it features high tension and low elongation. The mesh maintains stable tension under continuous cyclic production, effectively preventing registration shift.

 

Compatible with Bihong aluminum screen frames, it works well for water-based ink, plastisol, high-density, discharge and puff printing, ideal for mass fine printing on apparel fabric pieces.

1. Low Elongation & Stable Tension

Constructed of high-quality polyester mono filament. Minimal stretch and low tension loss after stretching. It stays taut during long runs on oval printers to avoid misregistration and ghosting.

• Process: Discharge Printing - Use reducing agent to remove base color then re-coloring, for dark T-shirt printing.
• Key points: Reducing agent color matching + corresponding screens; medium ink deposit, medium squeegee pressure, medium printing speed.

• Principle: Discharge printing uses reducing agent to destroy the dye on fabric to strip the base color, then apply color paste for re-coloring. Suitable for dark 100% cotton T-shirts (polyester-cotton blends are not recommended as disperse dyes cannot be discharged).

• Risk Notice: Discharge printing is highly sensitive to fabric dye batches, curing temperature and paste activity. Pre-production sampling is mandatory to verify discharge effect. Conduct washing and color fastness tests before mass production.

Operators

Paste mixer, oval machine operator, pre-inspector, post-curing inspector. Operators must be familiar with safety requirements of discharge paste (reducing agent is alkaline; wear gloves and goggles to avoid prolonged skin contact).

Materials

Fabric: Dark cotton T-shirt cut pieces / finished garments, pre-shrunk & pre-washed (remove silicone and fixing agent on fabric; silicone will cause incomplete discharge and spots).

Paste System

Discharge base paste (reducing agent paste, core material for stripping base color)

Discharge color paste (dischargeable pigment; ordinary pigment cannot be used)

Curing agent (as required, follow manufacturer's mixing ratio)

Thickener, defoamer

Screens: Separate screens (Critical: one screen for reducing agent, one screen for coloring; cannot share one screen)

• Mesh: 100T–120T (medium mesh count for medium ink deposit; 80T for heavy discharge) with thick stencil emulsion
• Film: Separate film for reducing agent layer and coloring layer, unified registration marks
• Equipment: Oval screen printing machine, hot air tunnel oven, tension frame, colorimeter, hygrometer, electronic scale, mixing bucket, squeegee, density cup
• Auxiliaries: Fabric test swatches, washing test bucket

Pre-production Sampling & Color Matching (Reducing Agent Color Matching – Mandatory)

The color of paste at room temperature is not the final color. Final color appears only after curing and base color stripping.

Take test swatches from the same batch of dark T-shirt fabric.

Prepare discharge base paste (reducing agent paste), add dischargeable pigment according to manufacturer's ratio; prepare small test batches and record formulas.
 

Simulate oval machine printing on test swatches:
print reducing agent paste → pre-dry → cure → cool → wash, inspect discharge result.

• Pass: Base color fully stripped, no grey stains or residual base color
• Fail: Incomplete discharge → increase proportion of reducing agent; fabric yellowing → reduce reducing agent, shorten curing time

Color matching with colorimeter after cooling and drying against customer color standard; fine-tune pigment dosage; record final paste formula and keep sealed sample.

Confirm screen sequence on oval machine: reducing agent screen first, coloring screen afterwards.

Route A (Recommended, clean discharge, matches your process): ① Print reducing agent paste → pre-dry → ② Print discharge color paste → cure

Route B: One-pot discharge color paste (reducing agent + pigment mixed), suitable for simple patterns. Disadvantage: weak discharge power, not recommended for heavy discharge on dark fabric.
