26 Colors Automatic Oval Screen Printing Press

This introduction standardizes the full operation workflow of water-based pigment printing and reactive printing on oval screen printing machines. It stabilizes printing quality, controls common defects including color deviation, strike-through, screen clogging, stiff hand feel and color bleeding. It ensures printed products maintain softness and air permeability, and fulfills quality requirements for cotton garment & bedding orders.

This document defines standardized operation criteria for material preparation, paste mixing, machine setup, printing production, post-treatment, quality inspection and site cleaning. It minimizes human operation errors and guarantees consistent batch-to-batch quality.

This introduction applies to all production runs of water-based pigment printing and reactive printing for light-colored cotton T-shirts, cotton underwear and cotton bedding on oval screen printing presses.

Note:
Water-based pigment print: Pigment colorants are suspended inside aqueous binder paste. Colorants attach to the surface of cotton fibers, good softness, simple post-treatment.

Reactive print: Reactive dye stuffs form chemical covalent bonds with cotton cellulose molecules. Superior color fastness compared to water-based pigment print. These two processes are often combined for cotton textile production.

Limitation: Not suitable for dark base fabrics due to low hiding power. For dark substrates, plastisol printing is recommended.

• Paste Mixer

Conduct paste formulation, stirring, viscosity testing, paste sampling and labeling.

Check raw material shelf life, filter mixed paste, record mixing parameters.

Prevent paste sedimentation, avoid expired reactive paste usage.

• Screen & Frame Technician

Screen inspection, mesh tensioning, photo emulsion coating, exposure, screen repairing and stencil touch-up.

Install screens onto oval machine print heads, calibrate registration and off-contact distance.

• Printing Machine Operator

Fabric loading, positioning, squeegee printing, in-process visual inspection during continuous production.

Monitor screen condition, stop machine immediately for screen cleaning once clogging occurs.

• Post-treatment Operator

Tunnel drying, steaming (for reactive print), washing, soaping and final drying.

Control steaming temperature & time, ensure full removal of loose unfixed dye.

• QC Inspector

First article confirmation, periodic patrol inspection during mass production, finished goods quality audit.

Record defects, verify hand feel, color matching, color fastness sampling.
