The printing process of a flatbed printing machine

The automatic flat-screen printing machine adheres the fabric to a flat, seamless, endless conveyor belt that circulates in the warp direction, moving intermittently with the belt.

The screen frame is positioned above the fabric and moves vertically. When the conveyor belt is stationary, the screen frame lowers, and the squeegee moves back and forth, pressing the print paste through the screen mesh onto the fabric.

After printing is complete, the screen frame rises, and the fabric advances with the conveyor belt by the distance of one pattern repeat.

At the end of the printing unit, the printed fabric is lifted off the conveyor belt and enters the dryer before being discharged. As the conveyor belt moves into the non-printing zone, a cleaning system removes any residual print paste, preparing the belt for the next printing cycle.

In each printing cycle, the machine automatically performs the following sequence of actions:

Conveyor belt advances → Conveyor belt stops → Screen frame lowers → Squeegee prints → Screen frame rises → Conveyor belt advances → ...
