1. Purpose
This Standard Operating Procedure standardizes the full production process of high-density thick 3D embossed printing on oval screen printing machines. It regulates multi-station over-printing, inter-layer drying control, paste application volume, squeegee parameters and final curing standards. The purpose is to achieve uniform 3D raised embossed effect, consistent thickness, smooth surface, no bubble, no crack, no collapse, stable adhesion and excellent washing fastness. This procedure ensures stable mass production of high-end sportswear and streetwear stereo logo printing.
This instruction applies to all high-density thick embossed printing production for sweatshirts, sports apparel, streetwear brand logos and stereo graphic patterns using oval screen printing equipment.
Process Characteristics:
Form 3D stereo relief effect through multiple independent over-printing + thorough inter-layer drying
High paste thickness, strong three-dimensional sense, full and rounded logo texture
Widely used in high-end trendy sportswear, brand stereo chest logo, sleeve logo and custom stereo patterns
Process Limitation: Not suitable for ultra-thin lightweight fabrics; recommended for medium and heavy-weight knitted fabrics such as 280–380g sweatshirt fabric, sports uniform fabric.
- Paste Mixer: Responsible for high-density thick paste proportioning, viscosity adjustment, additive addition, uniform stirring and paste filtering; strictly control paste fluidity and thickening degree to ensure stacking performance.
- Screen Technician: Select high-tension thick-stencil mesh screen, complete screen tensioning, emulsion thick coating, pattern exposure and screen repairing; ensure screen thickness meets 3D stacking requirements.
- Machine Operator: Responsible for multi-station registration, layered printing parameter setting, inter-layer drying matching, real-time monitoring of stacking effect and bubble prevention during mass production.
- Drying & Curing Operator: Control tunnel temperature, inter-layer drying time and final high-temperature curing to avoid incomplete drying, layer delamination and post-production collapse.
- QC Inspector: Conduct first article stereo height confirmation, layer uniformity inspection, finished product stereo effect, surface smoothness, adhesion and fastness sampling inspection.
